Alonso Ledezma has represented the citizens of San Jacinto on the City Council since 2010 — serving as Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and Councilmember — now he’s asking voters for the chance to keep going.
Alonso Ledezma has been a longtime resident of San Jacinto. As a real estate broker with San Jacinto Realty–Ledezma & Associates, the owner of Ledezma’s Tacos, and through his involvement with Thomas Catering, he spent years building relationships with neighbors and businesses across the city before he ever ran for office — time which he says gave him a street-level view of the challenges facing San Jacinto residents.
He was first elected to the San Jacinto City Council in November 2010 and re-elected in 2014, 2018, and 2022, serving multiple terms including three stints as Mayor. He currently serves as a Councilmember.
Beyond City Hall, Alonso represents San Jacinto on several regional boards that shape transportation, land use, and conservation decisions across Riverside County.
Alonso’s regional committee work gives San Jacinto a voice in decisions that get made outside City Hall. A second term keeps that seat filled.
Through his seat on the Riverside County Transportation Commission, Alonso works to keep San Jacinto’s roads, transit routes, and infrastructure funding on the county’s radar.
As part of the League of California Cities, Alonso helps carry San Jacinto’s interests into statewide policy conversations that affect local government.
As a member of the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority, Alonso has a hand in how the region balances development with habitat and open-space conservation.
Between his real estate brokerage, Ledezma’s Tacos, and his work with Thomas Catering, Alonso has spent decades as a hands-on presence in San Jacinto’s local business community.

“I have had the privilege of serving alongside Alonso Ledezma on the San Jacinto City Council since I was first elected in 2012. Together, we worked tirelessly to correct serious budgetary challenges and successfully steered the city away from a projected bankruptcy in 2015.
Through determined leadership and strong collaboration with city staff, we have helped attract a wide range of new businesses that strengthen our local economy and expand opportunities for residents. These include LCA Metal Components, Interstate Steel, Heimark Distributing LLC, Better Buzz Coffee, Top Grill, Class Leasing, Bank of Hemet, Sonic Drive-In, Dunkin’, Baskin-Robbins, Jersey Mike’s, Roadrunner Express, McDonald’s, Dutch Bros Coffee, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Aldi, and Agave. Additional projects are already on the way, including Burlington, Raising Cane’s, and major new development from the Rancon Group that will bring four drive-thru restaurants, a 20,000-square-foot grocery store, a 10,450-square-foot retail building, and a 192,000-square-foot self-storage facility.
We have also advanced major commercial developments such as Commonwealth Crossings, Soboba Crossroads, San Jacinto Commerce Center, Cottonwood Commons, Rancho Estudillo Plaza, KPC Promenade, The Magnet Shopping Center, and others. In total, these efforts represent more than 14 million square feet of retail space and the creation of many new jobs for our community.
The results speak for themselves. San Jacinto’s population has grown to more than 60,000 residents, and the median home price has risen from $174,000 in 2012 to $485,000 in 2026. This progress is the product of hard-working city staff and a focused, determined City Council.
Alonso Ledezma is a strong and consistent advocate for San Jacinto. He fights hard every day to keep our community thriving. I am proud to support his re-election and urge residents to join me in voting for Alonso Ledezma.”

I’ve had the opportunity to know Alonso, and what stands out to me is that he genuinely cares about the people he represents. He knows his community, he stays involved, and he understands that serving on a City Council is about listening to residents and doing the work necessary to make their community better.
As someone who also serves at the local level, I know that titles don’t make a good public servant, character, commitment, and being present for your community do. Alonso is a kind and decent man who has dedicated many years to serving San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Valley.
Hemet and San Jacinto may be two separate cities, but we are one valley.
